Dear FLC Friends and accompaniers -
Warmest greetings of Peace and Joy to you!
I am glad to send you the FLC Circle of Prayer (CoP) v. 27, see attached.
Let me take this opportunity to immensely thank you for your contribution to this volume. May you be blessed more, and those who read and share your reflection and prayer be also touched and blessed equally.
As usual, this is for sharing widely. This is also available from the FLC website or by email. And to be announced on our FB page, with one reflection and prayer to be featured/posted every month. The post can also be shared widely.
Do let us know your feedback and suggestions if you have any.

Das französische Forum teilt mit
Anne-Marie Schott, die französische Nationalkoordinatorin läßt uns wissen:
"In France we have been reflecting on the words of St Paul (2 Corinthians 12:10). "For when I am weak, then am I strong.” Indeed we are getting older and yet have hope for renewal. In Strasbourg three future members are interested.
We also welcomed a woman who has lived in Palestine for a conversation and exchange, and who enlightened us on the real situation. This was in response to the letter of support we had sent as Christian women to the Christian women of Palestine and the wider region. (The two groups Paris and Strasbourg worked together).
We have also taken part in marches for Europe and against anti-Semitism. "

The EU Parliament ratifies the Istanbul Convention (10.05.2023)
Many of our countries have already ratified the Istanbul Convention about violence against women.
Today the EU Parliament planned to ratify the Convention. A hope for strengthening the work against gender based violence. Unfortunately six countries have not taken the decision: Bulgaria, Poland, Hungaria, Czech Republic, Latvia, and Lithuanian. That means that partly the Convention does have effect in these countries, but there is no demand on preventive work and social justice rights for exposed women.

Spanien hat wieder ein Forum!
Dear sisters in Christ!
The first zoom meeting of Spanish women representing the EFECW took place on 18 January, 2022.
Pilar Juste and I introduced the Forum, which had existed before in Spain but wasn’t active during last years, we talked about my experience as a member of the Forum since 2002 and as a National Coordinator of the Forum for Ukraine since 2006, about the tasks and goals of the Forum, its rules. There was also a man among us together with 14 women, mostly Catholics, me as a member of the Armenian Orthodox Apostolic Church and a theologian Mireya from the Protestant church.
Many people contacted Pilar Juste after learning about this event and wished to take part in the meeting next time. So it's safe to say that the forum is being revived in Spain!
I must especially mention my personal feelings from communicating with Catholics in Spain and this is the dominant part of the believers in Spain. During the two years that I have been living in Spain, of course I have tried to get acquainted with Christians and the local Christian culture and traditions, which are quite diverse and interesting, often very colorful . But I remember one case in particular. Last year the Armenian community organized a memorial service for the fallen soldiers, defenders of Karabakh from the attacks of Azerbaijan in the 44-day war. The service was conducted in the Catholic Cathedral in Benidorm by the Armenian priest and the community. I was surprised that many Spaniards also were present at this service. And after the service, a woman sitting at a distance from me (because of the Covid restrictions ) came up to me with her husband, hugged me and said: "Nosotros somos hermanas", which means “We are sisters”. I still remember the sincerity and warmth of those words.
Thank God for such meetings, thank the Lord for everything!

Nach unserer Mitgliederversammlung in Bamberg schrieben wir eine eine kurze Botschaft an unsere Frauen in den folgenden drei Ländern. Natalja gab uns rasch eine dankbare Rückmeldung!

the German Forum had its general assembly a few days ago. In a morning meditation on 1 Cor 12 ("the body and its limbs") we thought of the conflicts in your countries and how heavily they affect you. Be assured: we are with you in thought and prayer. Please tell us, when we can be of any additional help. (...)
Solidaritätsbekundung - Brief an die Frauen in Belarus
Die evang. Frauenarbeit in Mitteldeutschland hat zu "Internationaler Gedenktag gegen Gewalt an Frauen"(25.11.) einen Brief geschrieben, dem sich das ÖFCFE inhaltlich anschließt.
